Physical therapy for back pain, shoulders and knees

Body pain is mainly neck, lower back, shoulder pain and knee pain is very common with more than 90% of all people who experience body pain like at least once in their lives. Most structural pain related pains are associated with improper body posture such as bending and excessive seating posture that affects your neck and back.

There are various ways to treat structural pain including drugs and in some extreme cases of operation. However, one of the more effective ways to deal with this pain is physical therapy. Physical therapy requires passive and active processes.

Passive physical therapy.

Passive therapy, which is contrary to active therapy is the process done on your body by physiotherapy without involving exercise.

Massage

Massaging networks that are ideal for neck, back and shoulders relieve pain due to adequate pressure on the network to relieve pain and muscle tension. Massage is ideal for simple conditions especially those related to poor posture. However, to complete the main causes of these conditions, it is important to train patients with the right posture to protect them from the return of these conditions. If the pain is severe, massage may not be ideal because it can cause further inconvenience.

Hot therapy.

Heat therapy is very effective in treating pain because it helps muscle relax and allows better blood circulation which in turn provides more oxygen and nutrition to affected areas. Although hot therapy will not complete the cause of pain, it will help reduce to a level that can be managed. Heat therapy is very effective in completing back pain and shoulders.

Electric muscle therapy

Electric muscle therapy helps reduce muscle discomfort and body pain by reducing muscle tension. This therapeutic process also triggers the body to produce more endorphins used by the body to relieve pain naturally. Electric therapy is mainly used for neck pain, hips and knees.

Hydro-therapy.

Water is known to the pain reliever and it only helps muscles to relax when water massages your body. Relax in tubs help reduce structural discomfort, especially back pain and shoulders. However, there are sophisticated hydro-therapy machines available with several physiotherapists to help relieve body pain.

Ultrasonography

This is a physical therapy process that uses ultrasonic waves produced by machines to increase general body temperature and thus allow better blood circulation. Enhanced blood circulation increases oxygen levels in the affected area and hence accelerate the healing process.

Active physical therapy treatment

Active therapy involves your body’s personal exercise to calm muscles and improve blood circulation. These exercises can be used hand in hand with drugs. However, in some more severe conditions, victims may not be able to do this exercise and therefore, other care processes can be used.

Abdominal muscle exercises

Stomach muscles play a major role in maintaining body structure and stability. These muscles help support the back muscles which in turn help support and protect the spinal cord. Therefore the excitance of abdominal muscles is ideal for relieving back pain and shoulders. These exercises include the chairman of the captain, bicycle maneuvers, crunch ball crunch, vertical leg crunch and torso track training.

Strengthening muscles

Muscle strengthening exercises are exercises that work to build your muscle strength and thus protect your body structure from tension and excessive pressure on your daily task. Furthermore, some structural pain conditions can be avoided by the muscle strengthening process.
